San Francisco. Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Apparently placed here under a special program; I did not take the opportunity to use my cell phone to learn more about it. I did enjoy this artistic seat/bench, however, to sit and eat my take-away lunch from the adjacent farm market. Very nice!

A number of these heavy duty metal benches were installed on the Berkeley campus recently for the convenience of students and others needing a special lift around campus. This morning I saw the little shuttle cart stopping for a girl with crutches who was waiting by one of these colorful benches. Blue & gold are Berkeley's colors; actually the benches are more gold and black, but my photo makes the black look quite blue. . . . .
