Second Best "52 Weeks Project"
Since I have been joining the 52 Weeks Project on Flickr it has happened several times that I had to chose between two or more self portraits that week. A difficult choice. The solution is to create a set of all good alternatives. Life is full of choices and sometimes a week has too much opportunities. This is one of those alternatives, the second best. And sometimes just as good.

One of the most remote locations ever been...but not alone!
Location: Hellfjorden, Vesterålen, Norway.
Reason: A one week holiday to the North of Norway (Vesterålen, Nordland) to experience the mid-Winter in the arctic world.
Hellfjorden: Hell Fjord is a 6.5 km long fjord on the north side of Eidsfjorden Langøya in Vesterålen in Nordland. The boundary between the municipalities of Bo and Sortland goes right in the bay.
Fjord inlets between Oksneset next Guvåg west, Hellfjord club in the east. In the outer part of the fjord islands Storøya, Ramnøya, Thurs Svenskøya and Slåttøy middle of the bay. Further up the islands Rein Eye and Teistøya. Vestpolløya is almost a peninsula at the head of the fjord. It extends northeasterly from the west, and west of the peninsula fjord West Pollen. From here extends Hellefjord a half mile further north to the end of the fjord. There are no major settlements along the fjord and no veisamband but the abandoned farm Hellefjord located on the east side of the bay.
Transportation: A RIB (rigid inflatable boat)
Weather: Around plus 3 degrees Celcius with some strong winds.
Sound: No sound at all...the silence was overwhelming!
Self-portrait techniques: Stretched left arm without self-timer and selector on 'Auto Shooting' mode with flash disabled.
