Near the little village of Verzy on the Route du Champagne this species of tree (les Hêtres tordus) can be found: Faux de Verzy. There are only three sites in the world where these low beech like trees can be found: Montagne de Reims (France), Hannover (Germany) and Malmö (Sweden). They are growing very slowly and some of them are exceding the age of 700 years.
