Avonturenpark Hellendoorn 02/06/2018 10h53
My first visit to this themepark in the province of Overijssel in the Netherlands. It is not the largest, most beautiful and most famous amusement park in the Netherlands and Europe, but it certainly has its charm. There is reasonable enough to do for young and older.

Avonturenpark Hellendoorn
Avonturenpark Hellendoorn (Adventure park Hellendoorn) is a theme park at Hellendoorn in Overijssel. The park was founded in 1936 by Jan van den Berg.

In 1936 Van den Berg built his teahouse with terrace, Our Ideal, on the Hellendoornse mountain. To attract more visitors, he added some playground equipment. Two years later he changed the name to De Elf Provinciƫn. Over the years, several playgrounds were added and the teahouse expanded to a restaurant. In 1947 began the construction of the Maze, which would eventually take three years and then the restaurant with halls was expanded. In 1956 the park started with the construction of a Fairy Tale Garden.
In the seventies, the first major attractions were added, such as the Monorail, Casa Magnetica, Sea Lion Show, Western Hall and Jungle Vaart. In 1978 the second generation Van den Berg joined the management: Hans, Ben and Jan jr. Also the name changed, shortly thereafter, in the nowadays still known Avonturenpark Hellendoorn.

Rioolrat 02/06/2018 14h03
Rioolrat ("Sewer rat") is an indoor roller coaster. Rioolrat was opened in 1996 to a design by the Dutch roller coaster Vekoma. It is a custom rollercoaster of the type Junior Coaster. It was asked to design a roller coaster that fitted into the existing building of the old sewer that had been built by Zierer.
As the name implies, the roller coaster is thematized in a sewer and rattling theme. The queue consists of two parts: a classic outdoor queue, but also a passage queue inside as a kind of pre-show on the theme of the roller coaster.

FACTS & FIGURES
Type: Indoor junior rollercoaster
Manufacturer: Vekoma
Opened: 1996
Theme: Sewers of Paris
Length: 305 meters
Topspeed: 45 km/h
Duration: 1m38
