52 Weeks Project
The first "52 Weeks" selfportrait posted in the twenties but the photo itself is still made in the 10s...
Locatio: Naarderbos along the Gooimeer (lake), part of the city of Naarden.
Coordinates: 52°31'63" N 5°14'57" E
Reason: I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather before going to work. Sunlight is scarce these months. And an incidental fact that I could visit the new McDonald's restaurant Muiden on my way back. In the distance Flevoland with Almere.
2010's & 2020's: A special feature is that this photo was taken in week 1 and that the first days of week 1 are still in 2019. A previous decade.
Gooimeer: The Gooimeer (Gooi Lake) is a bordering lake in the Netherlands between the southeastern part of North Holland ('t Gooi, het Gooi) and Flevoland.
There is a railroad bridge over the narrow west side, between Weesp and Almere Muziekwijk, with a parallel highway bridge, the Hollandse Brug. The narrow eastern border of the lake is crossed by two parallel highway bridges.
On the south bank of Gooimeer, which used to be the IJsselmeer, before the creation of the new polder Flevoland, the old cities of Naarden and Huizen can be found. The Naarderwoonbos, part of the Naarderbos, was built in the eighties. It is situated directly adjacent to the southern shore of the Gooimeer.

For the first time in 2020 to the Efteling...
Location: The backside of Doornroosje (Sleeping Beauty) in the Sproojesbos (Fairytale Forest).
Coordinates: 51°65'08" N 5°04'70" E
Reason: This year Efteling will open the new family launched rollercoaster Max & Moritz so it was time for a photographic update of the construction of this roller coaster.
Doornroosje: Doornroosje is the first fairytale in the route of the fairytale forest is also one of the oldest fairy tales in the history of De Efteling.
It is also one of the first ten fairytales at the opening in 1952, designed by Anton Pieck, although the current scene dates from 1981 and has some adjustments from Ton van de Ven. It is depicted with a castle on a hill, where visitors can climb up a staircase to look through windows through the bedroom where Doornroosje rests and the angry fairy sits on the spinning wheel. The chefs sleep in the kitchen.

In the footsteps of Rembrandt or Van Eesteren...
Location: Rembrandtpark, Amsterdam West
Coordinates: 52°36'67" N 4°84'75" E
Reason: This is part of my plan of 2017 to take a selfie in every Amsterdam park. The plan is still in progress. Lot's of parks (small and big) already done but still around 9 to go.
Rembrandtpark: The Rembrandtpark in Amsterdam Nieuw-West is a city park located to the west of the border of the urban development before 1940 and forms essentially the border between Amsterdam Oud-West and Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
The park was already part of the General Expansion Plan (UAP) by Cornelis van Eesteren from 1929 (sketch) and 1935 (final). Van Eesteren situated the park between what would later become Westlandgracht and Jan Evertsenstraat. The Postjesweg already cut the park in half. The park would have a size of 50 hectares.
It was intended to give the residents of Oud West some degree of park green in the densely built-up areas. It had a sister in the Flevopark in Amsterdam-Oost. The park should form a green buffer zone between the closed buildings of the pre-war city and the open buildings structure of the Western Garden Cities. The further design was based on a Ringweg-West (Einsteinweg) that was at ground level. However, in 1966 it was decided that that part of the Rijksweg 10 would be placed on a dyke body; it ensured that the Rembrandtpark felt more and more to Oud-West (De Baarsjes) than to New-West.

Parks to visit: Parks still on my list to visit for my "52-Weeks" project are: Sarphatipark, Gerbrandypark (W), Gijsbrecht van Amstelpark (Z), Gaasperzoom (ZO), Schellingwoudepark (N), Baanakkerspark (N), Buiksloterpark (N), Wertheimpark, Kasterleepark (W) and Martin Luther Kingpark (S).

Weather: Clear weather, 4° C (max 8° C this day)
Self-portrait technics: Camera placed on my cross-over bag and put on the back of a lounge sofa in the park.

The Winter of 2019 and 2020 is till now very mild and warm. Good to be able to walk in the snow at an altitude of 1600 meters in Les Arcs in France...
Location: Les Arcs 1600, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Savoie, region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
Coordinates: 45°35'47" N 6°47'35" E
Reason: My 24th overnight (découcher) in Bourg-Saint-Maurice for the Winter special of Thalys; the Thalys Neige. To be able to walk in the snow we had to take the funiculaire from 810 to 1600 meters altitude to enjoy the snow and the view of the snow-capped mountains.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice: Bourg-Saint-Maurice, popularly known as Bourg, is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is the last large town along the Tarentaise valley in the heart of the French Alps.Bourg-Saint-Maurice is part of the Paradiski ski area (425 km of slopes, 141 lifts, 239 slopes - 12 Green, 132 Blue, 66 Red, 29 Black). Although there is no skiing at this altitude, it is conveniently linked to Arc 1600 by the Arc en Ciel funicular railway and is therefore home to many budget rental properties. Unlike the villages that make up Les Arcs, Bourg-Saint-Maurice is open all year.

A sunny morning at the end of January 2020 in Paris along the Seine...
Location: Promenade Marie de Romanie in the 7ème arrondissement of Paris.
Coordinates: 48°85'66" N 2°28'94" E

She was the mother of Peter II, the last reigning Yugoslav king. Her citizenship was revoked and her property confiscated by the Yugoslav Communist regime in 1947, but she was "rehabilitated" in 2014.
