Reason: An evening walk together from Place de la Répubique via Canal Saint-Martin and Gare de l'Est back to hôtel 25hours Terminus Nord Paris.
Rue d'Alsace: Rue d'Alsace is located along the west side of Gare de l'Est. The southern part is located at the level of the station, while the northern part, from Delanos Passage, is located above the tracks. The two parts are connected by a double staircase with a landing. It extends into rue de l'Aqueduc.
With the exception of its north end, with a building, and south, with the station, the east side of the street is not built. Rue d'Alsace has a lenght of 380 meters and a width of 8 meters. Starts at Rue du 8-Mai-1945 and ends at Rue La Fayette.

With this park I conclude the project "self-portraits in all parks of some importance in Amsterdam"....

Reason: All part of my project to 52-Weeks project to visit all parks in Amsterdam.
Funenpark: Funenpark is a street in Amsterdam Center. The street is located in the Het Funen district, which is also popularly known as Funenpark. Funenpark (not a park) belongs to the Eastern Islands in Amsterdam and was named in 2003 after the Danish island of Funen. The Funenkade is also nearby. Contrary to what the name suggests, it is not a park.
Until the 19th century, the Zeeburg stronghold was located here. After that, a Van Gend & Loos transshipment site was established until the late 1970s. After a long period of vacancy and decay, 551 homes were built in the area in the early 21st century, then renamed Funenpark. Before refurbishing, archaeological research was carried out in which the wall remains of the stronghold were found. Those remnants were then made permanently visible as part of the sculpture group Tussentijd.
The somewhat triangular neighborhood is located between the Lozingskanaal (south), the footpath that bisects the park from north to south (west) and Keerwal (east). The latter is located where the eastern retaining wall of Amsterdam once stood, but since 2003 the street name along the railway line Amsterdam Central Station and Amsterdam Muiderpoort Station. The street and the park form the largest part of the district. They are bordered by the buildings on the Cruquiuskade (south); buildings on Kraijenhoffstraat (east) and buildings on Keerwal (east). Street and park are for pedestrians only. Street and park have exits on all streets around the park. Soon, part of the park was confiscated for the construction of a playground for adjacent schools.
All paving is made of pentagonal tiles in all shapes, sizes and shades of gray.
Intermediate is an artistic work of art by Gabriel Lester in the paths strip that refer to the history of this place.

Parks to visit: In September 2017 the idea was born to make a selfie in at least every park in Amsterdam with at least a little importance. This was the last park of the list This project started in 2017 and is for now completed till new parks are constructed in Amsterdam (IJburg, Schellingwoude, Havens-West). In total I have 42 selfie's made for this project.

Reason: My 15th year of this project 52-Weeks has started. When I started in participating this selfie project in 2009 my idea was to do this only one year for fun. Now it is part of my weekly routine and I still love it. Perhaps this 1st photo is a new tradition. Surrounded by all kinds of things which remembers me of the year 2022.

Reason: Traditionally I like to make an autumnal self-portrait at this time of year, but the light conditions have been far from optimal so far. Lots of cloudy days, lots of rain and a lot of work this week.
