The entrance of the exhibition CAPITALE(S) - 60 ans d'art urbain à Paris which I visited. Not least because my favorite artist Invader has made a fairly interesting contribution to it.

CAPITALE(S) | 60 YEARS OF URBAN ART IN PARIS
For the first time, the Hôtel de Ville is devoting an unprecedented exhibition to urban art to highlight this artistic movement which, day after day, takes over the streets of Paris a little more for our greatest happiness. It was time to celebrate these drawings, collages and graffiti that come to life on our walls and enchant the daily lives of Parisians, happy to reclaim their public space and rediscover it with a fresh look. Two works of l'Atlas and one of YZ (pronounce 'eyes')

l ÄTLAS
Jules Dedet Granel (1978), known as l'Atlas, started graffiti in the 1990s. Fascinated by line work and writing, ik studied traditional Arabic calligraphy. He is particularly interested in koufi, geometric writing which he transposes to the Latin alphabet, thus creating his own typography, and developing a pictorial universe in black and white where any letter is considered as a shape, and any shape as a letter. Continuing his research, he also develops a work of urban layout with tape representing huge compasses on the ground. In Paris, his work has been perpetuated on a gable wall on rue Ménilmontant at the intersection with rue Henri Chevreau (20th).

YZ
A woman of commitment, Yseult Digan (born in 1975), alias YZ (“eyes”) asserted her outlook on society quite early in her career. She made herself known through the 'Open Your Eyes' project, representing a black and white, anonymous, impassive and enigmatic face in the public space. Subsequently, her faces take on the features of the people she meets through her travels and to whom she testifies. In the 'Street vendors and Empress' series, she highlights in her frescoes the human and the feminine with a singularity that contrasts with the increasing standardization imposed by our globalized societies.
YZ's commitment takes borrowed paths, where memory and poetry occupy an important place. Her work in an approach truly on the fringes of the usual and dominant codes of urban art.

It goes without saying that the most famous street artist of Paris, France or even the world Invader also contributed to the Capitale(s) exhibition at Hôtel de Ville in Paris.
For this exhibition, Invader worked it out in such a way that he installed his 1475th space invader in Paris here (along with his 1474th) and that the total points of all space invaders in Paris would be 40,000. And all this in the year he placed his 4000th space invader in Potosie (Bolivia).
