Growing up I loved Mary Poppins! Especially the part where she snapped her fingers and everything magically got cleaned. {g}
Everywhere she went was an adventure - magical things happened - and her umbrella was her mode of transportation.
I was feeling the need for a little winter adventure - so I made me some!

I grew up next to a forest and I wrote this poem when I was about 14. I loved the ageless timeless feeling of the tall trees. No matter what was happening in my life they always seemed so peaceful.
When we went to Biltmore I saw this tree and totaly fell in love with it. It had so much character - it almost looked like a Tree Ent from the Lord of the Rings novels.

I haven't used a gold to blue gradient before but I've seen in in other pictures. Just giving it a try. I'm pretty happy with the results! Your thoughts?

My Mom is not a big fan of my art work because she can't hang it on her walls. : )
So I've decided to branch out a bit and do some flower/foliage/cats photography as well. I want to stay true to my own style - even if it is with different subjects.
I saw these beautiful rolled flowers with strong leaves and it reminded me a torches. So that is the theme I went with.
