Architect Richard Neutra designed the Modernist style house for Henry and Harriett Lew in 1958. The 4-bedroom, 4-bath home in 2604 sq. ft. is currently (March 2020) available for lease for $30K per month and is described in the listing as "Just above the famed Sunset Plaza in the Hollywood Hills is legendary architect Richard Neutra's Lew House, a jewel box restored and enlarged by Marmol Radziner. Architecturally refined and elegant spaces accentuate the surrounding environment, framing a classic Hollywood view of the hills and city.

Walls of glass allow vision straight through the house; it essentially lives in the view. On the entry level is the kitchen, living room and a guest bedroom suite. Down one level is the master with large walk-in closet, 2nd guest suite and family room. The third level guest suite with separate kitchen opens to a fabulous pool and magical yard. Fully-furnished with pieces by mid-century design icons such as Kagan, Baughman, Robsjohn-Gibbings, Cherner and Sciolari. Includes sheets, towels, dishes, etc. Just bring your wardrobe. This is a rare opportunity to live in a Neutra house just moments away from the world class restaurants, night life, and culture of the Sunset Strip".

The house is located at 1456 Sunset Plaza Drive in West Hollywood, California.

Architects Albert Frey and John Porter Clark designed the Modernist style home for industrial product designer Raymond Loewy in 1946. Loewy designed products for everything from cigarette packs and refrigerators, to cars and spacecrafts.for more than 200 companies including such icons as the Studebaker Avanti, Shell gas logo and Greyhound bus. The house is pretty much invisible from the road; I was able to capture a small portion of it from the driveway seen here.

Marmol Radziner + Associates renovated the house in the 1980s. The house was designated a Palm Springs Historic Landmark in 2007 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Located at 600 West Panorama Road in Palm Springs, California. Please do not use this image in any media without my permission. © All rights reserved.
