Architect J.S. Griffin designed the Greek Revival style Rosalie Mansion in 1823. During the Civil War it serves as Union headquarters for the Natchez area beginning in July 1863. The mansion was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Located at 100 Orleans Street in Natchez, Mississippi.

Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; "Where Three States Meet". One of the most picturesque and historic spots in this locality, where the Shenandoah River joins the Potomac. it was the scene in 1859 of John Brown's raid, which did much to precipitate the Civil War. The South won a big battle here in 1862, capturing over 11,000 troops in the garrison that is now a national monument.
