Moselle valley
The Moselle valley in Germany near Beilstein is very often surrounded by fog in autumn and winter, but as shown in the photo here, the sun has banished the fog and shows the town of Beilstein with the castle in the sunshine.

The parasol grows in forests as well as on meadows and roadsides. In young specimens, the cap is still spherical and closed, later it opens like an umbrella. The mushroom can grow up to 40 centimeters in size.
