Nothing special here in the way of a classic composition or a true main subject, but nonetheless I still enjoyed pulling the car over when I saw this scene as I was driving to Blackwater Falls State Park last weekend. I wasn't looking for a sunrise shot when I headed out, and SunsetWX didn't predict anything special, so when I saw the warm glow in the sky beginning I had to fight myself to change my mindset on what I set out to capture this morning, which was some waterfall shots before too many people were in the way. That changed for a few moments when I saw the fog rolling through some low lying areas which THAT in combination with the warm sky made me keep an eye out for an opportunity to grab at least one quick shot to warm my shooting eyes up before getting to my destination. So just outside Moorefield WV along Highway 48 I got my chance.
What drew me to shoot this scene was the peacefulness within it, and even though there is no main subject I feel that the comp as a whole is the subject with the way there are 4 beautiful geometric shapes in the layers of nature.
Thanks for looking and reading. Have a great weekend of shooting some magic everyone!!
