I think I've said it before, but in case I haven't here it is...This is the time of year I look back through my posts, and non-posts to gauge my progression. Every year I set goals for myself so that I can motivate myself as a photographer to get better at this craft.

Last year it was to slow down while I am shooting and get back to basics. This year it is to photograph new places and that even includes places close to home. I have my "Go To" locations when I am wanting to get out and shoot, but this year I want to find other locations that I am not familiar with.

Our trip through The New River Gorge was capped off by being shown this waterfall by Fred Wolfe. It was a pretty steep hike down to the bottom, and the rocks were a bit slick with all of the fallen leaves everywhere. But Bill and I navigated it without any incident thank goodness.

Even though the weather did not cooperate with us for a lot of bright colorful shots, it did offer us the opportunity to get a few wonderful waterfall shots.

This is an upper run along Dunloup Creek in the New River Gorge WV. A big "Thank you" goes out to Fred Wolfe who showed us around while we were down there. If it weren't for his knowledge of this area Bill and I would've been lost.
