Surrounding Union Pacific’s large shop at North Little Rock, Arkansas, is an array of storage buildings and outside storage space devoted to parts supply. A vast variety of parts and materials, new, reconditioned and used, are needed to be available for use in rebuilding the railroad’s locomotive fleet. In a rack near the paint shop is a supply of nose doors and cab sides.
