I didn’t visit Minnesota’s Iron Range for quite a few years, missing out on the “Tunnel Motor” era on Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range. At least a trip to Ontario that included driving along Lake Superior netted something, as DM&IR SD40-3 No. 403 leads a Canadian National taconite ore empty hustling past milepost 6 north of Waldo not long after climbing the hill out of Two Harbors, Minnesota, on June 10, 2016.
