From one night in Big Sur, the milky way sets over Pfeiffer Rock. Composite with manual blend, 360 sec single exposure at 25mm for the beach, 40x 12 sec exposures at 35mm for the sky, assembled with Deep Sky Stacker.

Here is another from along the Delta. This place has its share of mosquitoes. I wish there had been more to the sky but the nice big starburst is a reasonable consolation.

This is also an HDR and I went for a mono treatment.
