Snowy Mount Diablo, from Byron Airport, CA.

It was raining a bit too much when I arrived at the spot, so I set up my tripod in the passenger seat of my truck and lowered the window to shoot the pic, lol.

Lens is the super sharp 67 M* 300mm f/4 adapted to the 645Z. 4 frame pano, single exposure.

A refracted sun breaks through atmospheric layers to cast its first rays over Byron, Ca. Last night's weather report indicated mostly clear skies and minimal wind at sunrise, so I planned to grab a long tele shot from these hills near Vasco Road.

Lens is the A* 645 600mm f/5.6 on the 645Z.

From this week at the Byron airport, this pond was almost perfectly still, just right for a sky reflection. Lens is the FA 150mm with 1.4x teleconverter attached. Multi-frame pano, single exposure w/2 levels of focus stacking.

After chasing a small break between 2 rainstorms, I scrambled up a hill to shoot the rising moon's reflection in a small cattle pond. On the descent, I was in the dark and sans headlamp, so I held my arms in front of me to detect any surprise barbed wires or branches. That's about the moment I heard the crescendoing clatter in the direction of my truck...a RAIN shower was closing fast, so I made a dash for it, and got drenched before I could get back to the vehicle.

Lens is the D-FA 90mm f/2.8 on the Pentax 645Z. I just won this lens in the Pentax Forums landscape contest and was putting it through it's paces. It is a beauty. This is a multi-frame pano with some compositing and dodging.
