Caitlin + Earth #6: Acadia National Park, Jessup Path

This photo is from August 2018 when we visited Acadia National Park. Jessup Path is right by the Sieur De Monts visitor center, and features an elevated boardwalk that cuts through a birch forest. We walked the trail right around dusk on a mostly cloudy day after everyone else had already left.

Caitlin + Earth #4: Olympic National Park, Quinault Rain Forest

This photo is from April 2018 on our trip to the pacific northwest. We had just left Mount Rainier (which was closed after a snowstorm) and were driving out to the coast. We broke up the drive to stop and hike around the Quinault Rain forest. It's not as popular as the Hoh Rain forest and we basically had the place to ourselves. It rained on-and-off throughout the hike (I had to keep the camera in a rain-protective sleeve I had gotten specifically for the trip), but since everything was wet I got some really nice colors. Here I tried to sneak a photo of Cait just as she was walking in between this giant tree to convey the size of the tree by comparison.

Caitlin + Earth #2: Skógafoss

This photo is from our honeymoon in Iceland in 2015. The landscapes were out of this world. A couple years after the trip, I started seeing this specific waterfall in all types of advertisements and thought I should go back and take a second look at some of the photos I had from our trip. I had to photoshop a bunch of people out of this photo, but I love how the end result came out.

Caitlin + Earth #3: Monument Valley, Utah

This photo is from our Grand Canyon Road trip in 2016. After visiting the Grand Canyon, we drove north across the Utah border to see the epic landscapes of Monument Valley. Cait and I hiked around West Mitten Butte and I don't know if it was the long drive, the heat, or dehydration but I kept telling Cait that I thought I saw snakes that weren't there. Luckily, she managed to keep it together while I was losing my mind and we made it back from the hike safely.

Caitlin + Earth #5: Rocky Mountain National Park, Moraine Park

This is from Labor Day weekend 2017. Cait and I drove from Boulder up to Estes Park to visit RMNP. We only had a few days in the park, and there were a lot of great photo spots to hit. The morning this photo was taken, we woke up well before sunrise to head to Sprague lake, where we happened upon a few elk and I got some nice photos of the first light hitting the mountains. We headed back down to the meadow around Moraine Park and hiked around there for a bit before heading back to the hotel to go back to sleep.
