1 Angel Square is a £100 million BREEAM Outstanding Building in Manchester. Designed and
constructed for The Co-operative Group as Phase One of NOMA, the building was completed
in December 2012 and will soon be home to 3,500 employees.
Architects 3DReid delivered an exemplary sustainable building design that is already an icon
on the Manchester skyline and the single biggest expression of The Co-operative's business
values. A unique combination of design features led to significantly lower operating costs for
the business, while providing a flexible, stimulating work environment. As such, it is designed
to permit a cultural shift towards modern ways of working.
