Spotlights On: bridges in the light From 14 to 19 November, all eyes will be on the Drechtsteden. The Three Rivers Point and four bridges over the major rivers are lit up sensationally. Each with their own story and with super-efficient LED light. In the places that literally connect the region. A true light spectacle. The large beams of light tell a story from the bridges between Papendrecht, Sliedrecht, Zwijndrecht and Dordrecht and from the De Noord bridge. The central focal point is a special light ballet on the three river point.

The reason for the light spectacle is the St. Elisabeth's Flood of more than 600 years ago. The Sint Elisabethflood has shaped the region as it is today. A lot of money and energy was then put into preventing wet feet. And the theme is still current.

Vlak na een storm is het strand op zijn mooist. Zeker buiten het toeristenseizoen. De wind heeft het zand keurig gerangschikt in mooie structuren. Voetstappen zijn er nog bijna niet. Hooguit die van een overenthousiaste hond die niet bij zijn baasje wilde blijven.

Je zou dit haast landart kunnen noemen.

Na een paar dagen binnen vanwege een nare verkoudheid vandaag toch maar eens naar de zee gelopen. Heel koud, dat wel, maar ook heel mooi.
Het badseizoen is voorbij en dat geeft rust.
