No deep dark admissions here, you all know I'm a good girl.

Just trying something a little different amidst all the colorful floral influences and lighter colors most of us prefer this time of year. I like to think somewhere along my trail of discovery I found the right hair colors, after much experimenting and many dollars wasted in the early years. I can be a blond, but it's an ash blond, the "platinum" thing just doesn't work much to my chagrin. I can be a brunette, but I can't ever do the raven black look, much too harsh.

I digress. As an old time movie fan, I have always been drawn to the glamorous women of Hollywood from the late forties though the early sixties. Generally the blondes, silly me. Recently I find myself drawn to the look of the olive skinned Italian goddesses, like Gina Lollobrigida or Sophia Loren. Perhaps that is why I've chosen to go brunette this Summer. Who can say why we do what we do?

For those of us living on the "Continental Divide" of gender, little choices like this tend to lighten the load a bit, I believe. What do you think?

At some point during the whirlwind that was my month of August, I managed to hit the half-century mark. It's been an afterthought for the most part, which I suppose is good.

Fortunately there was some quality girl time along the way, just no photographic evidence.
I've spent most of the Summer as a brunette flower child, wearing floral sundresses and sandals
I'm not real sure why I felt the need to dive headfirst into glamour girl mode for the first photos in two months.
