I find it interesting that the "associates" at these home stores are so eager to share their expertise with someone in a dress and high heels. My experience tends to be quite different when I shop in drab, lol.

Well with a 40 year old house you tend to spend a lot of time (and money) at these home stores. This evening could have had a few more ladylike picture settings for this new Ann Taylor dress if not for a big storm rolling through, canceling plans for a night downtown. So it ended up just being shopping out in the Burbs.

Groceries and hardware replaced Jazz and wine but I guess that's ok. I did get asked "Miss, do you need some help with flooring?" from a nice young man associate. I get the occasional "Maam", NEVER "MIss"... and the checkout clerk told me she loved my nail color.

LBD of the month makes a somewhat flirty return after a Summer hiatus...It was just too damned hot out here on the Great Plains to be wearing black this Summer.

So on last weeks shopping adventures I came across this little number at Nordstrom's. I usually associate the brand Nine West with fabulous high heels, but this slinky little dress comes from the 9W fashionistas. It's already moved to the front of the line as the next "date night" dress.
