We were eating lunch under our tent when this natural little rock pool became very popular. I was so suprised to see him that I just grabbed the camera and sadly I didn't increase my ISO to get the speed I really needed. I was too intent on just getting a shot.

The brown thornbill is a passerine bird usually found in eastern and south-eastern Australia, including Tasmania. It can grow up to 10 centimetres long, and feeds on insects. It is brown, gray, and white.

Seen in Flinders Chase National Park.

Lovely to hear this Whitethroat singing. I'm not sure what the marks are on its white throat but if anyone knows I would love to know.
