I saw a beaver swimming under the bridge I was standing on, which was really weird because I have NEVER seen a beaver at the river before. According to the guy that pointed it out to me, beavers used to be very common around here.

Then on the way back to my car I came within inches of stepping on a rattle snake, which scared the crap out of me!
