In 1719, three patronage columns were erected in front of the main portal of the cathedral under the cathedral tower. They were donated by the three united estates of Vorderösterreich (prelates, knighthood and Breisgauischer Städtebund) and decorated with their coats of arms. On the central column stands the Mother of God Mary as patroness of the cathedral; she is flanked by the two "younger" patron saints of the city, Bishop Lambert of Liège (left) and the Roman martyr Alexander (right).

The Glienicke Bridge (German: Glienicker Brücke) is a bridge across the Havel River in Germany, connecting the Wannsee district of Berlin with the Brandenburg capital Potsdam.
During the Cold War, as this portion of the Havel River formed the border between West Berlin and East Germany, the bridge was used several times for the exchange of captured spies and thus became known as the Bridge of Spies.
The Hildesheimer Dom is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic diocese of Hildesheim in Hildesheim. It is one of the most important pre-Romanesque buildings in Lower Saxony and is one of the oldest bishop's churches in Germany.
