Fountain by F. Gutmann, "Five Goblins.
The fountain created by the artist Franz Gutmann in 1977 and financed by the former department stores' Hertie is whimsical, provocative and fascinating at the same time. The five goblins created in Mayan style pee in a semicircle into the Bächle and make most onlookers smile.
Definitely a nice place for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the shopping mile.

Kaiser-Joseph-Straße was originally called "Große Gass", where the market was also held in the Middle Ages, hence its great width compared to the other streets in the old town. In the 15th century, the market was moved to the square in front of Freiburg Cathedral.
