This giant spiderman style rabbit or hare greets people as they fly into the new terminal at Sacramento International Airport. It is very odd public art indeed and not very representative of the city that is known for it's politics, rivers, gold rush history, rice fields and gateway to Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada foothills. The older terminal has a giant stack of lost suitcases welded together so this improves on that at least. It is a nice airport to fly into with decent food and a quiet feeling compared to California's larger cities. I think perhaps a giant coyote, deer, or bear would have been more befitting but super rabbit is there to stay.
