Photo fishers (like me) stake out this quiet spot on the Merced River in Yosemite to wait for the right moment to catch El Capitan in its sunset glory. Sometimes the best way to look up is by looking down. Anyway even if the photos dont appear you have received a gift from winter's wonders.
Winter is the least busy and possibly most beautiful season in Yosemite. The crowds go home, frost coats the trees in the morning, fog freezes, waterfalls start flowing only to freeze at night, and snowstorms coat the park in a white blanket. Its quiet and full of white, blue and frosty hues that are simply devine to see. It felt like a nice day to reshow this quiet place of bliss.
