Red rock country in Sedona is on amazing place. One breathtaking vista after another and so many great hikes you will never run out of great places to go. Walking. mountain biking, running or climbing are some of your vacation choices. This view of Courthouse rock is just off the highway and its an easy and beautiful hike I highly recommend. The rain clouds often gather energy in the late afternoon and let go of some moisture to keep it green and cool off the tourists and locals in summer. Be ready for the rain and bring a poncho along with your water bottle for the heat.
This is my favorite part of this state, I liken it to the Grand Canyon with roads at the bottom but there are so many sidetrips you can discover and explore here. Great for kids as well as teens and for men and women of all ages. Just a two hour drive north of Phoenix and stop and see some of the ancient Indian ruins along the way too. A photographers heaven.
