This amazing complex cathedrals, monasteries churches and historic medieval buildings dates back before Roman times but was largely built to honor Saint James the Apostle. Thousands of travelers and pilgrims make a walking journey of 500 miles from France through most of Spain to finish at this site, along the way they contemplate the meaning of life and hopefully come to some understanding of what their souls and contribute to the world. You can of course also travel here by car, train or bus and spend a day or a week looking at art treasures and exploring a beautiful part of northern Spain. ,
