not sure which stone-carved god is represented here. looks to be fearsome what with all those little skulls, so maybe it's there for the home owner's protection.

I'm not sure, but I think this pretty shelf could be used as an ofrenda (altar) on holidays like Dia de Los Muertos. Then again, it might be purely decorative as I've seen many of the same design that are placed much higher up than street level.

When I was in San Miguel a few years back, this otherwise charming alley was defaced with ugly graffiti. I was happy to find that, now, there are a number of artistic/more pleasant renderings and murals along the way.
