This is the view from the ticketed launch viewing area at the Apollo Saturn V Visitor Center, at 7:21pm (ET) on May 15, 2017, as #SpaceX successfully launched the #INMARSAT5 #Inmarsat5F4 #I5F4 #Falcon9 satellite from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The image is a composite of two images, the first is a 79-second exposure, and the second is a 97-second exposure, both shot using a 10-stop ND filter at f22 and ISO100. Of note: the shadow being cast by the dissipating plume, at the top of the arc.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is selling tickets to watch the next SpaceX launch from this very same location. That will be the CRS11 mission, set to launch on June 1. The link for tickets is: www.kennedyspacecenter.com/info/tickets#VIPLaunchViewing
