slider sunday-- so i got brave, after i virtually dusted olivia's fur, and decided to try out the clone tool on picmonkey, b/c the catchlight was too distracting. boy, i could get hooked on cloning ~grin~
looks very cool in the lightbox--
if you would like to experience that, type L or click on the picture :)
btb, the catchlight was spang in the middle of the black slit. anybody want to see what it looked like before i post-processed it?? yes, i am pretty proud of my second attempt at cloning :)

the macromonday theme is "lit by candlelight". this little star (about an inch tall) is the topper for a 'crystal' tree tree ornament. it is being lit by one tealight-- always amazes me that you can still get a picture with just one candlepower and a steady hand.

bringing this back around for the Digging in the Archives Tuesday group pool :) i just love this family story.......
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
12/2/13........ when my DD was very little, she was mesmerized by the dancers and the nutcracker ballet and would sit watching it on tv through the entire performance. when she was about 6, our local NPR affiliate had a contest for a drawing for 4 nutcracker tickets to the boston ballet and she asked if she could enter. since she also loved drawing, she drew and colored a nutcracker figure, like the one above, across the entire length of a business sized envelope. (it was before the days of digital photography, but how i wish now that i had taken a picture.) .... anyhow she won and we went and it was glorious :)
