April 16, 2005: Springfield's old Union Station now serves as the Visitor's Center for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum and Library. Union Station was an active passenger station until 1971. This photograph shows the station before its clock tower was rebuilt as part of a $12.5M restoration project completed in 2007. A beautiful park and plaza now sit in the area where the chairs were placed for the Museum's dedication on April 19.
