One of the more recent tenants of this old building on the southwest corner of W. Main and Cartwright St. was a coffeehouse known as America's Cup of Coffee. The place has been closed for some time, but what is impressive is the painted wall advertising on the side of the building.

Pleasant Plains is a village in Sangamon County, and is located about 15 miles WNW of Springfield. The population was 777 at the 2000 census.

This Pleasant Plains coffeehouse is closed, and the painted wall advertising on the side of the building has already begun to fade. I hesitate to call this a "ghost sign" because the artwork is of a much more recent vintage. Nevertheless, props go to the owners who kept their coffeehouse advertising true to the character of this old building.

Pleasant Plains is a village in Sangamon County, and is located about 15 miles WNW of Springfield. The population was 777 at the 2000 census.
