Completed in 1915 to replace the previous school lost to fire, Salisbury School served students within Salisbury and the surrounding area until the 1960s. At it's peak, the school's four large rooms accommodated students in grade school through the first two years of high school. After district consolidation resulted in the school's closure in the 1960s, the building was sold and became a private residence.

Salisbury is an unincorporated community located in Sangamon County, Illinois. It is located on Illinois Route 97 11 miles northwest of Springfield.
