A view of the historic Collinsville City Hall and Fire Station looking WSW from the corner of W. Grove and S.Center Street in Collinsville, Illinois. The two buildings were constructed at different times and are of different architectural styles.

The Collinsville City Hall was built in 1885 in the Italianate style. The building is red brick with white limestone banding, a rusticated limestone foundation and wood trim. The City Hall lower level also served as the city jail until the 1960s.

The two-story Collinsville Fire House (a.k.a. Engine House #1) was built in 1910. The architectural style of this building is Romanesque Revival. A 1956 addition to the building replicates the Romanesque fire house style.

Additions in 1972 and 1994 connected the two buildings. The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Collinsville is a city located mainly in Madison County, and partially in St. Clair County, Illinois. Collinsville is approximately 12 miles (19 km) from St. Louis, Missouri and is considered part of that city's Metro-East area. The population of Collinsville at the 2020 census was 24,366.
