Horseshoe Falls, the Canadian side, sending lots of mist in the air! A couple of Maids of the Mist bringing tourists for a wet and wonderful close-up view of the falls....we did that the second day.

It was 6:30 and we were walking to find something to eat, but the light was getting so nice that I just couldn't miss the views...I couldn't tell what I was getting with my new camera, so I took lots of shots using auto, program, Live View etc. I think the city looks very pretty in this one. The mist was clearing as the breeze died off. Those of you who have been there know the sound of all that water crashing on the rocks...awesome! Aug. 4 on Explore #260

The awesome Bed and Breakfast we stayed at in Niagara Falls was an easy walking distance to the waterfalls and the entertainment strip. It was about 27C and had just finished raining lightly, so it was a perfect time for a walk. The closer we got to the falls, the more we enjoyed the mist blowing on us and keeping us cool. Fortunatley i had a plastic bag to keep my camera in..that was essential! After every shot I had to wipe water drops off the lens . ( I think it is time for Wayne to get his hair cut..you probably thought that was me!)

American Falls from the Canadian side in Niagara Falls...a faint rainbow appeared at about 7 PM when the sun got lower in the sky...
