Sunday I did the dumbest thing! I decided to go back to this waterfall and convinced hubby to go for a Sunday drive (about 40 minutes from home, then a 1 km walk uphill on a side road through the no trespassing gate and past 2 more no trespassing signs) I scrambled down to the falls and set up my tripod...got out the camera and voila! there it was...GONE! No tripod mount on my camera...darn! I concluded I left it home on the kitchen counter when I took out my battery to recharge it. Soooo...I held the camera as tightly as i could on the top of the tripod and held my breath. Several 15 second exposures were great compositions but blurry...a couple are OK...When will I ever learn to do a check-list???

My previous shots were the section of the stream up above this part...here the water drops about 20 feet I think. Apparently the pool below the falls is about 15 feet deep and teens use it as a swimming hole in the summer..it sure was pretty!

My flickr connection has been really on and off the past few weeks. Most days I don't seem to be able to get any links to open when i hit the "send to group" button. Is anyone else having problems? update....it works on my desktop computer just not on my laptop which I use mostly so I can sit in same room as hubby instead of hiding in the basement ....:-(

I had a wonderful afternoon with Darrel and Lorne and Dick from Sackville Photography Club. We went to Windsor area and Darrel lead us up a hard-to-find side road, under the gate, up the hill, through the woods, to Ettinger Falls. This is the little river that leads down to the bigger drop-off. Duh, do you suppose I have a few shots?? Watch out for more...;-) Thanks guys, it was such fun!
