There had been a huge surf the day before which toppled several folks at a surfing contest south of the city. This was at Baker Beach after our visit to the Legion of Honor Museum. We took off our shoes and rolled up our jeans and walked barefoot in the cold sand....it was fabulous..especially considering how cold the weather was back home... In the distance are the hills across the bay..the Golden Gate bridge is on the right..in a coming shot...

We went to the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco, thanks to my sister-in-law who picked us up and drove us around on three separate occassions.
I will probably add several at a time over the next few days, since of course the camera went everywhere that I went :-)

The museum was featuring the jewellry of Cartier.....LOTS of diamonds and emeralds and other trinkets for the super wealthy..and too many people in awe....I prefered the artwork and the beach we went to later ;-)
