I think they are my new favourite subject! Challenging and funny to watch. I was thrilled when I saw this one on my computer yesterday and realized I had gotten her in focus and in nice light! It was well worth sitting in the snow for an hour!!

I finally managed to get some nice clear shots of the mallard ducks in a cove about 15 km from my house. This is the third time I went and the light was finally good enough to get a fast shutter. The biggest challenge was finding them through the lens because they are so fast! They just finished some corn a local lady brought and were heading back to the water.

Pretty black duck swimming in a pool of reflected autumn colors, Shubie Park, Dartmouth. It was gorgeous 20C day yesterday and a great place to go for a walk.
