The whole place is filled with work by graffiti artists. The graffiti on the inside stays at most 2 months before replaced by new work, outside at most 24 hours. First incarnation was built in 1905 as an opera house and now it's a music venue and teen center. More images in the set. www.thephoenixtheater.com/about/history

A kaleidoscope of graffiti types upstairs at The Phoenix Theater.

I was pushed in the Get Pushed Group at flic.kr/g/fRNpf by the wonderful photographer :Elizabeth: at flic.kr/ps/eD4Va to interpret the word "kaleidoscope" and am "free to approach literally or conceptually - through impression or through processing."

One of the definitions of kaleidoscope is "a constantly changing pattern or sequence of objects or elements" and the constantly changing graffiti at The Phoenix Theater seemed to fit the bill.
