Winter solstice, also known as midwinter occurs exactly when the Earth's axial tilt is farthest away from the sun. This will happen tonight, with a Full Moon, and Full Lunar Eclipse. Just in case, walk don't run down the stairs.
For this shot i was atop a parking garage where an alert police man drove up to me to inquire about what I was doing, it must of seemed odd on the surveillance cams, Man dressed in black wearing earphones, setting up a tripod up on the roof. We talked and once I assured him I had no intention of terrorism he drove down, keeping a watchful eye on me and my vehicle plates. I must commend him for approaching and engaging me, just as he should.

Oh, what fine shot of espresso,
oh what a fine roast.
The original shot failed, but I came up with this one mid way. Espresso glass resting on a LED flash light, and incense burning below. I couldn't get the shutter speed as fast as I wanted, even with a high ISO. I will be trying something like this down the line again for sure.

200 Beans and counting. Day 200 only 165 to go.
This is quite a milestone for me, and I feel I have come a long way in this Project 365 Journey.
I have been learning allot, and always trying to grow, see and express more. This project is by no means easy, and it is much more demanding then I had first thought, but well worth it in so many ways.
I am touched that some of you have found joy and a connection with a number of the photos, and I am blessed and honored to share this photographic experience here.
For tonight's shot, 200 Beans (guessing), Bokeh and warm tones, no filters, no tonemapping, just a feeling in one shot.

This week it will be Passover, the festival of Freedom. In this shot is the Haggadah (book) which means a telling: a narrative. The Passover Haggadah is the narrative that is read aloud at the Passover Seder. It is the story of the slavery of the people of Israel in Egypt and then their flight from it.
