I paid a visit to Simon George's superb O gauge layout "Heaton Lodge Junction" when it was on display at WX in Wakefield in December 2021. The layout has been built by Simon over the last five years at the cost of approximately £250,000 and he's now put it on public display. There are 3 miles of track and the layout is 180 feet long. Simon used some of my photos as reference and it was great to finally meet him and see the railway. Words are really inadequate to describe it, so here are a few photos and videos to give you a flavour. If you haven't been to see it yet, I can highly recommend it. In this shot, 47197 heads west with a rake of four wheel TTA tanks - possibly a Jarrow to Stanlow.
