Two mill chimneys are visible in this shot taken from Baildon Moor on a July evening in 1997. The near one is part of the complex of Salts Mill, surrounded by the model village built by Titus Salt for his workers. The other tall chimney is at Listers Mill, another massive textile mill which was the largest silk mill in the world when it was in operation. Most of Lister's Mill has now been converted into apartments, with some commercial space. Salt's Mill is now well known as a gallery and retail space, but also has some commercial occupants.
