The only time, to my knowledge, that Class 26s traversed the Calder Valley line was on the 13th March 1993. 26003 & 26005 pass Elland with the York to Carlisle leg of "The Cumbrian Tynesider" railtour, reporting number 1Z40, 14:40 off York. Earlier in the day the train had left Manchester Victoria for Carlisle behind a pair of Class 37s - 37680 & 37684, which later worked the train back from Carlisle to Manchester Vic.
