The standard British stereotype is that it rains all the time in the UK.

Well we get a fair share, but its not every day and it doesn't rain all day (not very often anyway).

Annual rainfall totals are:

Cornwall and Devon have 900–1,000 mm, but up to double this amount falls on uplands such as Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and Exmoor. Areas to the lee of high ground have lower totals e.g. 800 mm near Exeter and even 700 mm in the low-lying parts of central Somerset.

It rains on average 1 day in every 7 here in Taunton.
April - July are the driest and December - February the wettest.
