Nobody had informed us that the morning flight from Banlung to Phnom Penh would do a stopover in Stung Treng. I had told my hotel in Phnom Penh i would check-in at 11 a.m. - now i would be several hours late at least.

In Stung Treng, the captain walked around the airfield in boredom. As did i.

"When will we finally arrive in Phnom Penh", i asked him?

"Oh, around 2 p.m.", he said.

"2 p.m.", I replayed with a hopeful voice.

"Well, maybe", he said.
