Late westering sun picks out Black Bluff brooding over the Fossey Range and numerous spot-lit ridge-lines, North West Tasmania.
Looking west from Claude Road on the slopes of Mt. Claude. Lower left, the view takes in the service roads, penstock and transmission lines of the Wilmot power station. Moina Road corkscrews up through the centre of the shot from the Cethana Dam on the Mersey River.
Major hydro-electric generation works associated with the Mersey-Forth Hydro Electric Scheme transformed sections of the North West Coast in the 1950s-60s. A combination of steep valleys and relatively high rainfall made the location ideal.
Mount Tor is at top/far right.

Clearly delineated by the edges of two monster squalls, Visscher Island stands out in the rain and hail that descended on it - and us.
It was a great day on the beach at Marion Bay but with the day falling apart it was time to run for the car. This last shot fired almost over the shoulder into the fading light.
Sympathies are with Texas.

Hólar Farm on Route One (hringevegur) just outside Höfn with Bergárheiði (443m) lurking in the gloom behind. We had been driving in heavy rain for around 4 hours when the sun broke through and picked out the farm. The air was still really quite misty from all the moisture in the air.
Southeast Iceland, September 2015.
This frame was taken back before I understood Auto ISO and sadly wasn’t the sharpest pic of the day due to slow shutter speed. I've added a teeny bit of Orton to compensate.

Oh no! Another waterfall... :-)
Yes folks this is Hafragilsfoss in East Iceland. Hafragilsfoss is the 'little' sister of the giant Dettifoss and lengthy Selfoss which are both further upstream.
Hafragilsfoss is only 'little' in terms of its height, just as much water goes over it as the other two as it is only several hundred meters downstream on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river.
A hiking trail can be seen clearly on the opposite side of the valley and a couple of 'togs are there on a little promontory far-right centre. On the RAW file it's obvious that the guy on the right is chimping :-)
