Taking a break from Icelandic images with a pic from my new (2nd hand) daily carry - a Fuji X70. This thing is tiny, has a fold-out touch screen and a hugely underestimated ~28mm lens.
This shot just up the road from work while walking home. The three square lamps belong to a car yard, the busted streetlamp belongs to the HCC and the sky came free :-)

Mt Bridges (1160m) and Seal Lake from Tarn Shelf, Mount Field National Park, southern Tasmania. Mount Field East poking up over the end of the lake. A very hazy day that turned ugly for a bit then fined up... Tasmania can have about 8 seasons in one day, not just four.
Tasmania was basically ground flat during the Pleistocene (or last Ice Age) by a massive icecap. Seal Lake lies in a nook of the Broad River valley - a well preserved remnant of that past glaciation.
This image is out of the archives from May 2018. A couple more to come from this simply stunning day up high to view 'The Fagus'.

Replica of The Endeavour - barque commanded by Capt. James Cook, Cartographer of parts of the east coast of New Holland, now known as Australia, April 1770.
The replica ship is shown moored alongside the Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, Sydney. Blue hour but the weather was bloody terrible.
I'm posting this in recognition of the Australian National Maritime Museum cooperative with the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project (RIMAP).
The original Endeavour was scuttled along with 12 others in the harbour, Newport Rhode Island by the Royal Navy to thwart the French during the American War of Independence, 1778.
RIMAP has been mapping and identifying the scuttled vessels and the Endeavour is of some historical significance to Australia.
